End of summer

The days are definitely getting cooler and pretty soon the leaves will start falling. It's the end of summer, no matter how much I might try to deny it. Even though we had a great time in Costa Rica, I can't help but be a little sad that I didn't spend the summer on the island. Nuno always likes to see new places, but Sao Miguel is one of my favorite places in the world. I have a list of things that I love to do there; go to the beach, eat ice cream, play eleven with a few good friends ;-) , go to Campo de Sao Francisco to drink caipirinhas and watch the gandins, eat lapas and morcella and octopus stew, drive to Villa Franca when Nuno lets me, and spend time with my long-distance family.
Now, I will be counting the days until next summer when we can come back. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is that next summer I am going to have braces. :-( I hope it doesn't stop me from eating all the food I love.
See you next summer!
